Christmas Comes Early for Margaret

Christmas Comes Early for Margaret

Margaret and Patty are frequent passengers and always a blast to be with. Margaret’s family surprised her with an early Christmas present.   It was a trip with Capt. Brian. Another surprise was finding a seahorse. Margaret gasped and stopped talking, then took two steps back in disbelief when she saw a seahorse. We also found many starfish. Last week the winds were intense and brought in many new gifts from the sea. Patty found a piece of a junonia, two babies ears, a lot of sea urchins and many other ocean treats. It was a fun filled afternoon with two fun energetic beachcombers. Merry Christmas Margaret!

I have been a Shelling Guide to Cayo Costa State Park since 1995. Many people know me as the Shelling Guide and Captain with Captiva Cruises over the past 20 years. In 2016 I began solely offering private small boat charters to the islands of Pine Island Sound including Cayo Costa State Park, Cabbage Key, Useppa Island, Pine Island and North Captiva. I am a certified Florida Master Naturalist, licensed USCG Captain, avocational photographer, seashell enthusiast and passionate about the history, people and culture of Southwest Florida, especially Cayo Costa. I volunteer as a member of Friends of Cayo Costa State Park and have great respect for the heritage of Cayo Costa. My goal is to provide guests with an overall experience and appreciation for the waters, islands, shells, plants, marine life, wildlife, history and people of this unique area of Southwest Florida.

Thank you Capt Brian it was a very special surprise to go out with you. As you know I'm a talker and to find myself speechless over the seahorse was spectacular. I can't believe hoe lucky and blessed I am to have been given such a wonderful Christmas. Gift. Any day on Sanibel is a great day any day on the water with you priceless,
