Pine Island’s wide, shallow sound provides habitat for manatees and almost every Floridian fish species. There’s also a shark nursery in nearby Charlotte Harbor, according to master naturalist Captain Brian Holaway. Holaway offers individualized, guided trips for shelling, photography, exploration, and education.
